Ampang inorganic gel
Ampang inorganic gel is a layered silicate mineral product containing magnesium lithium. The gel is made from a series of high technology and fine processing, such as purification, modification, activation, repair, gelation and nano crystallization, using natural montmorillonite and soap mineral. It has excellent colloidal dispersion, stability, thixotropy and suspension, and is widely used. Smectite is highly hydrophilic because of its unique layered magnesium aluminosilicate structure. The structure of the two structural units is loose because of the combination of hydration cation and Coulomb force. In the water dispersing system, the intercalation of exchangeable cations between montmorillonite layers makes the internal charge of smectite change, and the binding force between layers becomes smaller. Under the action of hydration energy of crystal layer bottom, water molecules enter the interlayer region, forcing the layered aggregates to produce relative movement and swell or peel off, and highly disperse to form the microparticle sheet with negative charge on the layer and positive charge on the end face. Because of electrostatic attraction, these thin plates are joined by end-to-face in water, and the edges of small pieces with weak positive charge are attracted to the surface of small pieces with negative charge. In this way, the three-dimensional spatial structure is rapidly established. The viscosity of the mixed system increases rapidly, forming a reticular structure containing a large number of water molecules, making a large number of free water into bound water, thus obtaining a higher consistency and forming a gel. Inorganic gel is a non Newtonian liquid thixotropic gel and belongs to pseudoplastic fluid. Under certain shearing force, the fluid shows a low viscosity suspension, and the original gel state is resumed after the shear force is removed. Because of the unique structural characteristics of smectite, a non Newtonian liquid thixotropic gel can be formed in aqueous solution.

They are high value-added products. It can be made into various suspending agents, adsorbents, decolorizing agents, purifying agents, disinfectants, thickening agents, detergents, fillers, reinforcing agents, etc. It can be widely used in building materials, daily chemical, pharmaceutical, ceramic, environmental protection, casting, battery and other industries.
